CNC Generals: Maps

Each new map that is added gets placed on top so newest maps are at the top of the page and oldest on the bottom.  For instructions on how to install the maps read the to "install.txt" file included in every download.

Map Name: Frost Valley

Author: Andy Guts
Description: This is a six player map designed for 3vs3 teamplay. The teams start at each side of the frozen Valley (Itīs supposed to be a semifrozen river running across the map). The bases are protected by mountains but the three entrances to each base are quite large. Below the bases are one additional supply dock for each player, but these are not that easy to defend. Along the river there are some oil derrics to capture and some villages to garrison.

 

Map Name: King of the Pond

Description: This is a symmetrical and quite open 4 player map. Each player starts with one supply dock, and there are 4 more supply docks between the players. In the middle there is a pond surrounded with 4 indestucable oil derricks (hence the name). The game play on this map gets intense and does not favor turtlers, the bases can be attacked from many directions and the entrances are wide.
It works great for 2vs2 or 4ffa. The map has AI support and the AI is very good at it.

 

Map Name: Sundown

Description: A 4 player map with AI implemented. Each side has two supply docks, and there are a small amount of supplies in the center. A little further out from each base is an oil derrick and oil refinery. The Resource placement is symmetrical while the terrain is not. Overall this is a detailed map in a desert setting. The setting is a small Iranian village surrounded by mountainous desert. The time is during sunset. The dark ambient, long shadows and Red-orange light tint add to this effect.

 

Map Name: Desert Plains

Description: Desert Plains is right here for your Easter battles. This is my present to the community; my Easter Egg for you! I tried to make the scenery convincing, which brought me to the edge of the allowed texture usage.

 

Map Name: Bay Area Brawl

Description: This is a very large map and it is modeled after the San Francisco bay area. Some real-life landmarks are represented in this map for added playability. There are bonus supply docks at Berkeley, SFO, Alcatraz and Pier 39. This map supports up to eight players.

 

Map Name: Broken Island

Description: It's a 1v1 map, 2 islands with tides that go out and in. The tide comes in faster than it goes out. The map has good detail, and enough supplies for a decent game.

 

Map Name: Urban Strike

Description:

This is a 1 vs. 1 map.  One side has extra money, but is harder to defend, and the other side is much easier to defend but has a little less money. Also one side has more room to build, and the other has slightly less but many buildings to garrison. So it makes for a very interesting map. It has city streets, cars people trees everything to give it a real city feel for futuristic urban warfare.  gowmanAG assisted in getting this map to work well and added a little bit of detail to it.

Map Name: Desert Run

Please note that there are two Oil Derricks on each side, and a Small amount of supplies on the "city" side. This deviates a little from the "standard" maps, but is sufficient money for each side. the supplies converge in the center of the city, which often results in a battle for it.

 

Map Name: Flash Fire

Description:

This map was an attempt to incorporate more than one terrain type in a single map. It is an island setting and was designed to be aesthetically pleasing as well as balanced.  This map was made by official EA map designers just for you!!!

 

Map Name: Urban Warfare

Description:

The map is split up in four sections with different terrains between them, it's symmetrical and fair for all players.  Two supply docks and one oil derrick for each player, in the middle there are two additional oil derricks and a refinery to fight over. There's also some small supply piles here.  The four sections between the starting locations all have two chokepoints, so it should be quite fair for all. The base areas are surrounded with cliffs and have 3 entrances each.
The map works great with the AI.

 

Map Name: Fight the River

Description:

This is a 2 player map. The bases are split up by a river which runs across the map, there are 4 bridges over it.  Each player starts with one supply dock and there are two additional docks available plus some small supplies. At the extra supplies are some great looking villages.  The base areas are open and have 3 wooden watchtowers spread out on the edge.  The AI plays very well on this map. It builds well, uses all resources, attack on all different paths and is quite hard on brutal.

 

Map Name: Generals Beyond Bridges

Description:

This is a rather large map for 3v3, while the layout is plain and simple: plenty of flat ground for construction, far and deep harbor with bridges connecting the rival islands. The map is crafted to be symmetrical to ensure fair game play. Each team starts with a fortress to defend. However the game is not easy at all: bunkers and towers will entrench your tanks and narrow bridges will engulf your troops. Familiarize with the terrain and use the suitable strategy is the only key to win the game!

 

 

Map Name: Black Gold Oasis

This is a 4 player map. with a sufficient amount of tech buildings and supply This map is meant for 4 players and is fully AI enabled. The player build areas are large enough to allow the AI to build very freely.

Map Name: Impact Island

Description:

4 vs 4 map with 6 oil derricks and 2- $200 crate spawning wharfs. Enough supplies to wage a substantial war. Well balanced with respect to bunkers and rights-of-way, variety of scenery, and civilian vehicles for GLA terrorists to use.

 

Map Name: Korea DMZ

Description: There are 4 player spawn locations. Two exist in the DPRK of North Korea and two in the United Nations sponsored lands of South Korea, below the 38th parallel. It is known that the DPRK government of the North have Nuclear Reactors which produce weapons grade plutonium. Through advanced research, the DPRK has also secured tons of biological and chemical weapons. Known nuclear missile and biological weapons systems exist in the Northern half of the DMZ. The United Nations has outfitted the Southern half of the DMZ with United States Airfields and Particle Cannons. Each player begins with one of these pre-installed military installations and must capture them in order to use them.
