 TIBERIUM WARS: SINGLE-PLAYER TIPS

Here are a few suggestions on how to get past some of the missions.  These tips may work in multi-player mode but have not been tested.

Bomber Strategy:

Try to scout out the enemy base for a lack of AA.  Even if AA guns are present, chances are that somewhere there will be an opening.  However, since many units can shoot aircraft make sure your path to the enemy base is clear (i.e. direct your bombers manually).   Build about 10-20 bombers and then choose your target.

    Choosing wise targets:

Your primary target should not be the AA defense, by directing your aircraft you should be minimizing the AA damage.  The main target should be their Power Plants.  This serves a few purposes: if you knock out their power, any super weapon countdown is halted, and ALL automated defenses are down.  Things also take longer to build, so this is an extra bonus.  If you don't manage to take out their power, refuel your payload and try again ASAP (the AI will probably build AA defenses so keeping ahead of them is important).  If you see AA going up, ignore them, they are not your main target, the Power Plants are.  Chances are on this second or third air barrage, you'll knock out their power, and with any remaining ammo, attack their Barracks or War Factories.  You will lose some bombers on each run, so if you don't have much income this strategy may fail.

    You next targets:

After their power is knocked out, either take out more Power Plants (especially if new ones are going up).  If you believe they are behind on power, then you have a few choices.  If your being bombarded with vehicle attacks, destroying their War Factories may be helpful.  However, I generally like to hit the cranes and construction yards, thus preventing power from ever being restored.  Then I go after the main offenses, while ensuring their base is always low on power (remember when you destroy a building, it no longer draws power, so make sure they have low power at all times).

    Cleanup:

Take out the remaining buildings and complete your objectives.  Another useful part of this strategy is bombers can destroy some powerful enemy ground units.  Walkers generally don't have air defenses so your bombers can attack lone walkers unopposed.  Try this strategy out if you have a good amount of cash flow and can build bombers.

More tips coming soon.
