TIBERIUM WARS: TROUBLESHOOTING
Before seeing the official minimum requirements, here
is my laptop setup, which runs Tiberium Wars VERY well:
OS: Windows XP Professional 32-bit Edition
CPU: 1.4GHz Intel Celeron M (Yonah core)
RAM: 512 MB DDR2 533 single channel mode
Disk Drive: 8x or faster DVD drive
Hard Drive: 6.0 GB or more of free space (this is NOT a typo, this
game is BIG!)
Video: ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 with 256MB VRAM
Sound: DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card (onboard HD Realtek Audio
card)
It runs at 800x600 resolution with Ultra High Video
Card settings (No Anti-Aliasing), and normal audio settings. Laptops
don't get very good support from EA (as you'll see below), so if your having
trouble getting Tiberium Wars to run visit the
forums and we'll
do our best to help. I would also like to note that this game is CPU
intensive as well as GPU intensive; my Celeron 1.46 GHZ does have some
trouble keeping up with the game when a lot of action is going on.
Taken from the
official site, these are the absolute minimum requirements for playing
Tiberium Wars:
OS: Windows XP, Windows Vista (32-bit; 64-bit versions of Vista
are not supported)
CPU: 2.0GHz or high, or AMD equivalent, Vista - 2.2 GHZ
RAM: 512 MB or more, Vista - 1GB RAM or more
Disk Drive: 8x or faster DVD drive for retail SKUs, not required for
digitally downloaded version
Hard Drive: 6.0 GB or more of free space
Video: GeForce4, ATI Radeon 8500 or greater (ATI Radeon 9200 and 9250
PCI, NVIDIA Geforce 4 MX cards not supported.). Windows Vista - NVIDIA
GeForce 6100 or ATI Radeon 9500 or greater. Labtop versions of these
chipsets may work but are not supported.
Sound: DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card
Network, Internet Multiplayer: 2 players (no voice support) – 56 Kbps
Internet connection; 2-8 players (with voice transmission) – Broadband-class
connection
